The 2008 NJCAA Championships featured six flights of singles and three doubles events in each division. Teams accumulate points through their player’s wins in each of the flights. This year saw both repeat champions and new faces in the winners circle.
The NJCAA Men's Championships took place at Collin Country Community College in Plano Texas, with two divisions playing for titles. In Division I, the Laredo College (above) team captured its fourth straight NJCAA Division I title with Tyler Junior College in second place.
Onondaga Community College (below) in New York was the winner of the NJCAA Division III national title. It's the program's first national title and ended Oxford College's bid for a third straight title
At the NJCAA Women’s Championships, held at the Randolph Tennis Center in Tucson, Arizona, Hillsborough Community College captured the Division I crown, finishing just one point ahead of Tyler Junior College in the standings. The title was the first in program history, though they had made the finals the previous two years.
In the women's Division III Championship, The College of DuPage was the clear leader, 19 points ahead of second-place Ocean County. The title was the second straight for DuPage. They are the first team to repeat since Mercer County won in 1999 and 2000.
