Final Analysis: Weighing less than 10 ounces, the Nike Zoom Courtlite 3 was one of the lightest shoes reviewed this year. For women only, the Courtlite features Zoom technology in the heel, which according to Nike provides cushioning as well as a light, low-to-the-ground feel. It also features durable rubber overlays for extra protection in the high-wear areas of the toe and the heel, not to mention a herringbone outsole for greater traction on clay courts. Weartesters found the shoe not only stable and lightweight, but also extremely breathable because of the Courtlite’s mesh upper. Keep in mind, however, that due to its average flexpoint—it bends a little too far back from the ball of the foot—these kicks are suitable only for neutral or pronated foot types. Otherwise, the Zoom Courtlite 3 is an excellent option for club-level players looking to lace up a new pair for the summer clay-court season.
