Facts: Yonex says its new three-layer Power Cushion technology, embedded in the midsole and insole, absorbs "30 percent more shock" than the original Power Cushion, while contributing to the shoe's lighter weight. An endurance rubber outsole in herringbone pattern and the brand’s “round sole” feature, designed to maximize energy transfer, combine to provide traction on all surfaces.

The shoe's new Quattro Fit feature tapers the heel of the shoe for a better fit. This bolsters the attached tongue and the shoe’s select fit system, which places plastic grommets over the middle and top eyelets, enabling you to customize a closer fit. An outer strap surrounds the mid-shoe area, sealing it all in.

The emerald and white Power Cushion Light is a unisex shoe offered in men’s sizes 4-11.5, 12, and 13, and women’s sizes 5-5-13. Our size 11 sample weighed in at 14 oz.

Impressions: If your feet feel like they’re flying around unfettered inside your shoes, you may find a solution with the Power Cushion Light, which places a premium on comfort and fit. The triple layer of Power Cushion should soften jarring impacts and sudden changes of direction, and extra padding inside the heel and tongue reinforce its plush feel. The endurance rubber outsole extends to the toe and heel areas of the shoe, which will protect acrobatic players who sometimes use shoes as launching pads for on-court flights.

Essentially, Yonex has tried to improve on its Power Cushion line, providing more padding and better fit on all surfaces, while maintaining a manageable weight. This shoe features several of Yonex’s top technologies, offers a comfortable ride, and won’t overload your feet with extraneous weight.
