Head’s HyBrasion technology, a high-abrasion compound rubber, reinforces high-stress areas of the outsole to provide traction and support where players need it most. A lateral control edge near the forefoot is built for stability, particularly when making quick cuts. A TPU heel stabilizer enhances shock absorption. Weartesters said the shoe’s quick break-in time was its best feature. This is a very roomy shoe with some weartesters saying they appreciated its “boxy feel.” Heavier players, those with long or wide feet and players who have been hampered by bunions and hammer toes in the past should enjoy the Speed Pro III the most. One weartester, a teaching pro who spends hours daily on his feet, said, “It’s a great fit with plenty of room, and it’s nice and easy to wear.” Head’s six-month outsole warranty also applies to the toe guard, which extends over the tip of the shoe. The Speed Pro III is also available in black-and-yellow.
