K-Swiss has refurbished its franchise shoe, and the result is a lighter, more breathable and more dynamic model. A midsole built with K-Swiss’ Guideglide technology aims to center the foot within the shoe for stability. Comfort is enhanced with a seamless upper and cushioned lining on the tongue and heel of the shoe. Weartesters reported lighter weight and balance were the Big Shot II’s best features; some cited stiffness and insufficient cushioning on hard courts as its worst features. The brand has refashioned the outsole with reinforced rubber in the forefoot to boost durability and grip. The toe box appears a bit roomier than prior incarnations, and the shoe hugs the heel with a Velcro-like interlocking heel-lining, designed to grip socks and prevent slippage during play. The shoe of choice for American ATP players Mardy Fish, Sam Querrey and the Bryan Brothers, the Big Shot II may inspire your inner power player.
