Polyester strings are all the rage. Whether by themselves or in a hybrid string bed, polys have become the preferred choice of power baseliners. They’re highly durable and grip the ball for enhanced spin and control. One of the more popular choices available, especially among accomplished younger players, is Solinco’s Tour Bite. It’s been a massive success for the up-and-coming, California-based tennis company.

In the beginning of this year Solinco released an update to the line called Tour Bite Soft. While some players like the firmness of a polyester string, others find it too rigid and uncomfortable. Tour Bite Soft is intended for those players who want the durability, control, and spin production of a polyester, but with a more cushioned response.

Does it succeed? Judge for yourself. The first 20 readers to email us their name and address will receive a set of Tour Bite Soft to playtest. All we ask in return is that you email back a simple evaluation form (that we will provide) with your opinions on the string.

If you’re a fan of polyester strings, Tour Bite, or simply want to grade a new string in the category, then click on the email link above to receive a free set of Tour Bite Soft to test out.
