Product Profile: HEAD White Bags

by: Jon Levey June 21, 2013

Wearing white at Wimbledon is a must. It’s tied to the tournament like grass stains, strawberries and cream, champagne, and British disappointment. Accessories, such as racquet bags, don’t always adhere to the practice, but it’s a nice touch when they uphold tradition. Two of the favorites on the men’s side this year, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray, will certainly look the part when they hit Centre Court, as they hoist their HEAD White Monstercombi Tennis Racquet Bags ($140) over their shoulders.

The limited edition bag is all white with green stitching and inner lining to match the famous lawns of Wimbledon. It has three separate compartments to house up to 12 racquets; one of which is padded with CCT+, a thermal liner to protect racquets from extreme temperatures. Any of the compartments can serve as a space for clothes or other necessities and there’s one inside mesh pocket to store valuables.

And for players who prefer to keep racquets and apparel separate, HEAD is introducing the 4 Majors Club Bag ($65). Also white with green stitching and lining, the bag has one large main compartment and a separate smaller one for shoes/wet clothes. While Djokovic and Murray own the distinction of having played them all, for most everyone else owning the bag is the closest they’ll ever come to joining the actual four majors club.
