The lightweight BigShot balances stability, durability and comfort so effectively that it could be K-Swiss’ finest performance shoe ever. The five stripes on the upper—a combination of leather, synthetics and mesh—make up for the light mesh’s lack of support, as does a leather band over the midfoot that reaches the laces on both sides. A unique directional material in the heel counter acts like Velcro and prevents the heel from slipping and rising out of the shoe. The EVA midsole provides great cushioning, but because it wraps under the shoe it creates a crisscross pattern on the midsection of the outsole that could end up collecting clay, which would add weight and compromise some traction. Older players should appreciate its features and the classic K-Swiss look.
