The Pitch
The Dunlop Biomimetic F2.0 Tour and M2.0 now feature Biofibre, a strong, lightweight material extracted from plants. (According to Dunlop, racquets labeled F are for players with faster swings, M for more moderate swings, and S for slower swings.) Located in the shaft, Dunlop says Biofibre increases stability and filters out unwanted frame vibrations.

How It Tested
The F2.0 Tour is a classic, all-court frame, which subscribes to the premise that, in the hands of an advanced player, a racquet with lots of mass equals lots of power and stability. While the F2.0 isn’t as hefty as the previous 200 Tour—which weighed in well over 12 ounces—playtesters still sensed that they were swinging something substantial. “It feels heavy at the ends,” said one 5.0 playtester, “but I found it good for generating flat pace off the ground.” Where the 2.0 really sparkled, however, was at the net. Volleys were on target, playtesters said, and seldom wobbled the frame. The M2.0 found more welcome among advanced-intermediates favoring the baseline. Playtesters reported that while the stick still performed capably at net, its slightly lighter weight and less head-light balance made it a better fit for backcourt play.

Bottom Line
Sturdy additions for skilled all-courters who prefer playing the net (F Tour) or the baseline (M).
