Likes: Reinforcing its reputation as a brand that builds comfortable, stable shoes, K-Swiss has struck a successful balance between high quality and lower cost. The Approach II has a phenomenal flex point, and its high-density outsole and reinforced toe enhance endurance. The black/silver/charcoal colorway is new for 2011.
Dislikes: The shoe lacked some ventilation; players who wear two pairs of socks may feel more moisture on their feet. Unlike K-Swiss' BigShot, the Approach II does not come with a six-month outsole limited durability guarantee.
Bottom Line: K-Swiss has created Tour-level performance without charging a Tour-level price. The Approach II provides as much bang for the buck as any shoe we tested this season. This shoe lacks the breathability of its big brother, the Big Shot, but scored highly in durability, stability, flex point and comfort.
