| w/winter approaching my wife actually told me I should look into joining the athletic club down the street from us which has (among many amenities) two indoor courts. very nice of her but looking at their website I suspect I'd be paying for a bunch of stuff I don't need/wouldn't use (our subdivision already has four courts, pool, clubhouse, etc) - I just want to be able to play comfortably in the winter which here (Atl) is really only 3 mo (I'll open admit I'm a weenie when it comes to playing in cold - I hated it in HS/early 20s & I hate it even more in my 40s!).
that said, who has the best deal (or at least is least expensive) on indoor courts around Atlanta (preferably east cobb)? I know they're not CHEAP anywhere but I'd at least like to avoid paying for redundant amenities for which I already have to pay my HOA...

I recommend that you ask them if they have a tennis-only rate, or some kind of special. With this economy, and unemployment in Atlanta being what it is, they may cut you a break for a three month usage.

| By the way, if you do get a good rate, remember to invite me out for a hitting session so I don't freeze my butt off outside like the rest of the city

| I do not know if any of the colleges/universities in that area have indoor courts but I bet some do. Make friends with a professor or someone else who works for the college and you'll be able to get indoor times at great rates. That is what I use to do up in the Boston/Providence area.
