Esquire Latinoamérica

May Day! Maria Sharapova is heating up the cover and interiors of Esquire Latin America's new issue, out now. The magazine says "the goddess is on top," as the world No. 2 prepares to defend her French Open title later this month.

There are actually two covers available for the issue. In the article itself, her candy brand Sugarpova, father Yuri Sharapov, and her Grand Slam successes—from seizing the spotlight in beating Serena Williams for the 2004 Wimbledon title (wonder if Serena would've tweeted "I made you" in 2004?) to more recent major final defeats at the hands of Petra Kvitova and Victoria Azarenka—are all mentioned.

And if you missed it, CNN's Open Court recently shined a light on Max Eisenbud, Sharapova's agent with whom she sometimes emails up to 75 times a day.

What do you think of Maria's latest magazine spread?
