Leave it to these two: Forever pitted against one another in a would-be rivalry, Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova are making noise away from the court lately.

Serena, to her credit, appears on the cover of Fitness magazine, appearing the epitome of shapeliness and health, which is good in light of that publication's focus. Nothing's earth-shattering about her verbiage in the piece for the May issue, but Serena says of her shape, "So I learned to be proud of my curves and embrace my large boobs. It's all about loving who you are and realizing that you're beautiful."

Elsewhere, Maria Sharapova appears at to talk the virtues of sunscreen, beauty, and on-court makeup. (Here's a tip: She doesn't wear any of the latter. Take that, Jelena Jankovic.)

Of wearing makeup during matches, Sharapova says, "I don’t wear makeup when I play. I wouldn’t trust any makeup on the court. When I’m in the moment, I’m playing—I don’t really care if I look natural, as long as I feel good. But makeup doesn’t make me feel good, it just makes you prettier."

What do you think of these editorial appearances? And who would you like to see gracing the cover of a major magazine next?
