VIDEO: Gael Monfils dives for volley, throws racquet, gets ball back, loses point

by: Ed McGrogan August 06, 2014

The craziest thing about Gael Monfils isn't that he can pull off shots that would impress the Harlem Globetrotters; we've come to expect that. It's the fact that he continues to come up with new ones. In his latest display of showmanship, at the Rogers Cup in Toronto, the flailing Frenchman slides to retrieve a drop shot, dives to hit a volley, then tosses his racquet at the net ball he's made to hit—all in a losing effort.

But we won, as fans, did we not? (Vine courtesy of Robert Porter.)
