The Frenchman opened the 2012 season reaching the Sydney final. Benneteau beat Roger Federer to earn his 200th win in the 2013 Rotterdam quarterfinals, eventually reaching the final. On June 7, 2014, Benneteau and fellow Frenchman Edouard Roger-Vasselin defeated Marc Lopez and Marcel Granollers, 6-3, 7-6 (1) to capture their first Roland Garros doubles title in just their third tournament together.
