One of several Top 100-ranked Frenchmen on the ATP, Jeremy Chardy reached the fourth round of the 2008 French Open as a wild card, a run that included a comeback from a two-sets-to-love deficit against No. 6 David Nalbandian in the second round. A 2005 junior Wimbledon champion, Chardy defeated Victor Hanescu in the 2009 Stuttgart final to capture his first career title. Chardy reached a career-high ranking of No. 25 in January, 2013 after reaching his first Grand Slam quarterfinal at the Australian Open.
