After losing in the finals of Wimbledon Juniors in 2013, he began to focus on his professional tennis career. In 2014, he won two matches for the South Korea Davis Cup team and also won gold in doubles at the 2014 Asian Games. In 2015, he entered the top 100 for the first time.
