Michaella Krajicek has been playing tennis since age 3 and has won three WTA tour titles, the biggest at ’s-Hertogenbosch in her native Netherlands. Her best Slam result was at Wimbledon in 2007, where she reached the quarterfinals. She reached a career-high No. 30 in early 2008, but struggled with wrist and knee injuries for the rest of the season and fell to No. 219 by the end of the year. In 2009 she improved her ranking, but still was ineligible for the main draws of majors. Krajicek was the No. 1 junior in 2004, sweeping that year’s U.S. Open junior singles and doubles events. Her stepbrother, former ATP pro Richard Krajicek, won Wimbledon in 1996. (as of Nov. 2, 2009)
