Howdy, Tribe. Just a note to say I'm sneaking off to the farm for two days, to do chores and take some of the make-up days I have piled up (from Labor Day to Christmas is my favorite time of year and it's the slow period in tennis; translation: everybody wins!). The only tough part of this, though, is that I'm addicted to y'all! Love is a drug, right?

If anyone wants to start a new train of conversation, feel free to do it in this space. Steggy may weigh-in with a post before I get back in the saddle on Thursday. One of my top choices for judging the finalists in the Armadillo Poetry Slam is bailing on me (fall trip to Europe and all that you know. . .), but I also have a committment from a real, live poetry professor at a well-known northeastern U.S. college and am still waiting on Mikey Seabra's answer. Play nice, okay?
