Nadal, Djokovic to play doubles together in Toronto
Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic will play doubles together in Toronto, reports the Spanish press, marking the first time that the No. 1 and No. 2 men's players have played doubes together since Jimmy Connors and Arthur Ashe in 1976.
Djokovic was reportedly the one who suggested the pairing.
Nadal, who will be the top seed for the singles in his first event since Wimbledon, said he had been "training for only three weeks" but "will do the best that I can."
