Bryans win new friends with gold medal

Bob and Mike Bryan completed the career Golden Slam yesterday by winning the Olympic gold medal; the response to their achievement has been overwhelming. While the 34-year-old twins have won 11 majors, they said that have never received such a huge response from friends and fans.

"When we go home, everyone is going to want to see that medal," Mike said. "Our email boxes are filled. I just looked at my phone, I couldn't count how many emails I had."

Bob added: "People that we haven’t talked to in 10 years have already called and texted. So we have a lot of new friends now after winning this gold, which is cool."
