Retiring Ferrero was awed by Federer
Former world No. 1 Juan Carlos Ferrero, who retired from singles after his loss to Nicolas Almagro in Valencia, tells As sports daily in Spain that Lleyton Hewitt was the toughest player he ever faced, but Roger Federer was the player who impressed him the most.
“You feel that he can do anything and that you are missing that little bit,” said Ferrero, who won Roland Garros in 2003. “He is the only tennis player who has made me feel inferior.”
