Tsonga injured in Perth, pulls out of Sydney

After retiring in his mixed doubles match at the Hopman Cup, France's Jo-Wilfried Tsonga pulled out of the Apia Sydney International, which begins next week. Tsonga would have been the top seed there.

“Unfortunately he sustained a left hamstring injury in Perth and has been forced to pull out of Sydney,” said tournament director Craig Watson.
