Fed Cup: Serbia ties Slovakia 1-1 after injury

NIS, Serbia (AP)—Dominika Cibulkova of Slovakia retired with an injury, giving host Serbia a 1-1 in the first round of the Fed Cup on Saturday.

Cibulkova led Vesna Dolonc 6-4, 5-4 when she was developed a leg muscle strain, fell to the court and was taken off the court on a stretcher.

Earlier, Daniela Hantuchova won the first singles for Slovakia by defeating Bojana Jovanovski 7-5, 6-2.

Serbia is playing without Ana Ivanovic and Jelena Jankovic, who withdrew because of injuries.
