They're not Harry and Sally, but it will do: The ATP's No. 1 player, Novak Djokovic, got chummy with the Los Angeles Lakers' superstar Kobe Bryant before L.A.'s Sunday night game against the Atlanta Hawks (won by the home team). Their meeting was dubbed "When Nole Met Kobe" on the ATP's official Instagram account. Djokovic was also pictured with new pals Dwight Howard and Antawn Jamison. Howard, for his part, appears to be flexing a la Djokovic after a couple Australian Open victories in recent years.

Besides meeting and taking pictures with the likes of Howard, Djokovic was also interviewed courtside during the hoops contest:

Djokovic is in the City of Angels for tonight's LA Tennis Challenge, which pits him against Mardy Fish in an exhibition match and also features fellow stars of the sport Pete Sampras, Bob and Mike Bryan, and James Blake. On his own Instagram account, Djokovic referred to Sampras as his "idol," and snapped a photo with the arguable Great of All Time player.

By the way, also at that L.A. basketball, err, "match"? One Tomas Berdych, who hardly received the same treatment, apparently relegated to relative "nosebleed" seats a little closer to the Staples Center's rafters.
