World No. 3 Victoria Azarenka says that her injured ankle in feeling better as she prepares for her return to tournament tennis in Madrid. Azarenka was runner-up to Serena Williams in the 2012 Madrid final.

Since she defended her Australian Open title, Azarenka has repeated as the titlist in Doha, pulled out of Dubai with an ankle injury, and then managed to score three wins at Indian Wells before pulling out with the same ankle injury prior to her quarterfinal match with Caroline Wozniacki.

“[I] feel good,” she told reporters. "I'm really glad to be back playing, and can't wait to start the tournament and see where my game is at. It's a very good place to start.  It's a very competitive field right away, so I'm glad to be a part of it. It's a great preparation for the French Open.”
