David Nalbandian appears to be out indefinitely after undergoing hip and shoulder surgery in May.

The 31-year-old Nalbandian, who is still using crutches and has yet to test his shoulder, does hope to eventually return to the tour, the website Fuebuena reports.

The 2002 Wimbledon finalist reached the Sao Paulo final in February, losing to Rafael Nadal. Injuries limited him to six matches since then.
