The Tournament of Champions, a WTA year-end tournament, has given its two wildcards to top Bulgarian Tsvetana Pironkova and to Serbia’s Ana Ivanovic.
Played after the more prestigious WTA Championships concludes in Istanbul, the Tournament of Champions in Sofia features six players who have captured at least one WTA International-level event, plus two wildcards. Ivanovic won the event twice when it was played in Bali. Russia’s Nadia Petrova won the tournament last year in Sofia.
