NEW YORK -- Serena Williams will have to settle for playing in only one U.S. Open final this year.

Williams and sister Venus fell 6-4, 6-2 to the Czech team of Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka in the women's doubles semifinals Friday night -- a match played shortly after Serena Williams won in singles to set up a final against Victoria Azarenka.

Hlavackova, meanwhile, still has a chance of winning two titles at Flushing Meadows this year. Earlier in the day, she and Max Mirnyi teamed for the mixed doubles championship.

The Williams sisters have 13 major doubles titles, while Hlavackova and Hradecka are trying to win their second. They will play Australians Ashleigh Barty and Casey Dellacqua in the final Saturday.
