One star deserved another at the Mylan WTT Smash Hits event held Sunday night in Orlando. Team Elton beat Team Billie Jean to bump the timeless pop singer's team ahead of the soon-to-be-70-year-old's squad in terms of head-to-head encounters, 11-10.

The count in this match was 24 games to 18. Andy Roddick, Venus Williams, John Isner, Marion Bartoli, Victoria Duval, Taylor Townsend, and others came out for what became a hit-and-wiggle for Roddick, who imposed himself on the competition throughout the match, including a blistering serve rifled at Townsend during the mixed-doubles portion of the exhibition match. What do you think of the hit that Roddick rained down on Townsend? Fair play or poor form given the setting? Townsend didn't seem to favor it.

Beyond that, let's consider the larger implications: Research to fight, prevent, and end HIV/AIDS is now richer. Ultimately, the charity event brought in more than $700,000 for the Elton John AIDS Foundation. Well done, Team Elton and all involved.
