Caroline Wozniacki and Rory McIlroy to wed

It turns out that rumors of a certain relationship's demise have been greatly exaggerated. Caroline Wozniacki and Rory McIlroy are engaged.

In a lovely little game of social-media He Said/She Said, the bride-to-be announced, "Happy New Year everyone! Rory and I started 2014 with a bang! ... I said YES!!!!" To which McIlroy, a major-winning pro golfer added, "Happy New Year everyone! I have a feeling it's going to be a great year!! My first victory of 2014 #shesaidyes!" Here are their respective tweets on the matter:

What do you think about the pair's future? The Spin says congrats on their impending nuptial. Kudos to the betrothed, and may they prosper both on and off the court and the links in 2014.
