Happy new year, Spin friends. I've emerged from hibernation to unleash another round of top tweets, some of them fraught with all the tension and thrill of another match pitting Serena Williams against Maria Sharapova. Serena won, improving her record to 15-2, including a 14-match winning streak, against her once-upon-a-time rival. Head to head, Sharapova hasn't won since 2004, during George W. Bush's first administration.

Without further ado, your Tweets of the Week—and do relay in the comments your own favorite dispatches from the past few days. All good things to you in 2014.
