Hampton underwent two hip surgeries

Jamie Hampton is said to have had surgery on her right hip three weeks ago, and on her left hip last Tuesday. Chris Evert showed support to the American on Twitter:

Hampton presumably underwent surgery at The Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colorado, as Hampton has tweeted pictures from there:

Hampton has played one tournament this season, in Auckland, where she reached the semifinals. She then pulled out of the Australian Open with a hip injury. Her return date is unknown. The 24-year-old reached a career high No. 24 ranking last July.
