LAS VEGAS (AP)—Las Vegas now has a World TeamTennis franchise.

League officials in New York and city officials in Las Vegas said Tuesday that the Sacramento Capitals franchise is moving to Las Vegas and will compete in the WTT Western Conference as the Las Vegas Neon.

Mayor Carolyn Goodman made the announcement at the Amanda and Stacy Darling Memorial Tennis Center in Las Vegas.

The Neon will play 14 regular season matches in July, including seven home appearances.

Kolleen McNamee returns as team general manager, and officials say Las Vegas resident and current ATP player Sam Querrey also is returning.

The Capitals spent 28 seasons in Sacramento.
