LONDON (AP)—Andy Murray will lead Britain's team in the Davis Cup quarterfinals against Italy next month.

The Wimbledon champion heads the four-man lineup announced Tuesday for the April 4-6 matches on clay in Naples.

Dan Evans, Colin Fleming and James Ward round out the British team. Ross Hutchins, who returned to action in January after recovering from Hodgkin's lymphoma, is a reserve.

Murray, Ward and Fleming were part of the team that beat the United States 3-1 in February. Evans played last year in the win over Croatia that put Britain into the elite World Group.

This will be Britain's first Davis Cup quarterfinal since 1986.

The sixth-ranked Murray says Italy has ''some very good clay court players with a passionate crowd behind them.''

The winner will play either Kazakhstan or Switzerland in September's semifinals.
