Nadal wins Laureus Comeback Award

Rafael Nadal has been awarded the Laureus World Comeback of the Year. Formula 1 driver Sebastian Vettel won the award for World Sportsman, a category in which Nadal was also nominated.

Fellow No. 1 Serena Williams was nominated for World Sportswoman, with the award going to Olympic swimming champion Missy Franklin. Bob and Mike Bryan received a nomination in the team category, won by soccer team Bayern Munich.

Nadal returned last season from seven months off with a knee injury and won 10 titles, including the French Open and U.S. Open. He reached the final in 14 of his 17 events.
