Canada's "it" girl Eugenie Bouchard and the United States's promising teen talent Taylor Townsend paired up this week in Family Circle Cup doubles play. The two bowed out in round one, which probably boded well for Bouchard's singles success—she's a semifinalist after beating Venus Williams and Jelena Jankovic in consecutive three-set bouts—but their scoreline was hardly abysmal against Yaroslava Shvedova and Anabel Medina Garrigues: 6-7 (0), 6-3, 10-7.
