Sharapova fields World Cup marriage proposal

Leave it to Maria Sharapova to offer the perfect rejoinder to four fans holding up signs at a World Cup soccer match beckoning her for her hand in marriage:

The signage appeared on a telecast of the showdown between Russia and Algeria. It may not top Steffi Graf's "How much money do you have?" reply—delivered in the heat of on-court Wimbledon battle, no less—but Sharapova, in the Twitter age we live in, did quite well by this. You can't make out a single one of their faces, really, but those four gentlemen must be tickled pink now.
