Former world No. 7 Nicole Vaidisova has indicated she is still moving towards a comeback to professional tennis.

"Im finally able to serve with less pain then i have in over 3 years," she wrote on Instagram, referring to repeated "surgeries, rehabs, and setbacks" since her retirement at age 20 in 2010 to marry fellow pro Radek Stepanek.

The two were divorced last year, when Stepanek began dating another Czech pro, Petra Kvitova. As a teenager, Vaidisova had been one of the top prospects in women's tennis, reaching the Top 10, winning six titles and making two Grand Slam semifinals.

Her agent, Olivier van Lindonk, confirmed at the time that she was trying to make a comeback.

Vaidisova did not say when she might play a tournament, writing, "its one step at a time."
