Andrea Petkovic is no longer being coached by Eric van Harpen, following a successful season that saw her return to the Top 20 and reach her first Grand Slam semifinal.

The well-established WTA coach wrote on Twitter that the two had stopped working together:

Petkovic has been very up and down during the past few weeks, dropping first round matches at Linz and Luxembourg and saying she was in "no condition to play tennis" before winning the Tournament of Champions in Sofia. She also participated in Germany's 3-1 Fed Cup defeat to the Czech Republic, dropping the first rubber in straight sets to Petra Kvitova.
