Loic Courteau may join Amelie Mauresmo in coaching Andy Murray, the Daily Mail reports. Mauresmo has been coaching Murray since June and plans to keep working with the two-time Grand Slam champion. Courteau, 50, coached Mauresmo for years when she was still on tour. In the past year, Murray split from coach Ivan Lendl and assistant coach Dani Vallverdu, who is now the head coach of Tomas Berdych.

“A few weeks ago I had some discussions with Amelie, who had talked about it with Andy,” Courteau told L'Equipe. “It would definitely be a super interesting challenge to coach Murray and in addition with Amelie would be fabulous.”

Courteau is already coaching Julien Benneteau, so he may not work with Murray in a full-time role. “I have spoken to Julien about this. At the Australian Open I will be with him. With his experience he could work on his own,” Courteau said.
