Pete Sampras is not interested in turning to coaching like many of his fellow champions, saying he does not want to go back on tour.

Speaking to press during the International Tennis Premier League, Sampras said he was not ready to join Boris Becker and Stefan Edberg in working with a top player, and also was not looking to be Davis Cup captain.

"Boris and Stefan, they are a little bit older, have kids a little bit older, they are open to travel. I am not into traveling at the moment, at least more than a couple of weeks a year," he said.

"I am not ruling out captaincy or coaching in the future but for the time being, for the next couple of years I'm happy just playing some exhibition every now and again and staying home."
