Sloane Stephens is looking forward following her first-round exit at the Australian Open, saying she has played just three events this season.

"There's a long way to go. I'm obviously disappointed that I today. But if I dwell on this, the next 25 tournaments I play this year are probably going to suck, too," she said.

Stephens fell to Victoria Azarenka at the tournament for the third year in a row, having previously played the former No. 1 in the semifinals and fourth round. "I knew I was going to play her. Because I was like, of course I'm not seeded, she's not seeded, we're going to play each other," joked Stephens, who was in a tough section of the draw and would have next played No. 8 Caroline Wozniacki or fellow American Taylor Townsend.

"I saw I would have played Caroline, or Taylor. The draw's rigged, I swear. I need to go talk to [Craig Tiley, because this is ridiculous," she said laughingly.

Stephens, who had a wrist injury and only started hitting against a month ago, said her goals were to, "Stay healthy, play a lot of tennis, enjoy myself."

She is once again working with childhood coach Nick Saviano. "I've known Nick since I was 10 years old, so it's nice to have a familiar face, we have a great relationship, so I really enjoy working with him," she said. "He's basically taught me all of my technique, taught me everything I know, so definitely the trust is there. I know he can help me."

Asked if she could see herself in the Top 10 this season, Stephens said, "It's a nice goal. It's definitely possible."
