GENOA, Italy (AP) -- World No. 13 Sara Errani will lead host Italy against No. 30 Caroline Garcia of France in the opening match of their Fed Cup first-round tie on Saturday.

The draw on Friday also pitted No. 31 Camila Giorgi of Italy against No. 19 Alize Cornet in the second singles on the red clay court.

After the reverse singles on Sunday, Italy's Karin Knapp and Roberta Vinci will face Kristina Mladenovic and Pauline Parmentier in doubles.

Italy has won the title in three of the last six years. France came back into the world group by beating the United States 3-2 from 2-1 in the playoffs last year.

France has won six of its nine meetings with Italy, although the Italians swept the last tie in the 2009 first round.
