Eugenie Bouchard has taken a wild card into next week’s WTA tournament in Dubai, looking to get some more matches.

The 20-year-old Canadian lost her opening-round match in Antwerp this week, the first event she has played since a quarterfinal defeat at the Australian Open. It was also her first event with new coach Sam Sumyk, who she has been working with since exiting in Melbourne.

Flavia Pennetta was among the other players also receiving wild cards. The event now features nine of the world’s Top 10 players.
