After joking on Twitter about a golf question on the mobile phone game “Trivia Crack,” Caroline Wozniacki talked about her former engagement to Rory McIlroy. The golfer broke off their engagement in the spring of last year. Wozniacki admits that she was very upset, but now she's finding some humor in it.

“I see positives in everything... things happen,” Wozniacki said after she won her match at the Qatar Open on Wednesday. “Things happen for a reason. I just found myself hilarious yesterday. I think that's my sense of humor sometimes.

“I think you can write different scenarios and I think it would have been worse standing at the altar or the day after the wedding. But I'm pretty sure that I didn't think it was very fun at the time.”

Wozniacki will play Victoria Azarenka in the quarterfinals of the Qatar Open, held in Doha. Azarenka beat the former No. 1 in the second round of the Australian Open in straight sets.

“She's a good player,” Wozniacki said. “She beat me last time in Australia, so I have to play my best. I have to play my best tennis out there. And it's a new place, it's a new tournament. And hopefully I can do better this time.”
