Juan Martin del Potro expressed satisfaction with his first match back from a second wrist surgery, but acknowledged that his backhand is still not back to normal.

The Argentine fell to Vasek Pospisil in two tight sets, 6-4, 7-6 (7), in his first match since Sydney, but indicated that he is going to keep playing this time. "I have to take the positive things on my comeback," he said. "I don't have any physical problem after the match."

However del Potro, who has been hitting two-handed backhands again for less than two weeks, suggested he could have to make more adjustments. "I want to play tennis. If I have to learn a different backhand to keep playing, I will do it. I think is the biggest goal for me to keep trying and stay mentally strong enough to go through all of the injuries," he said.

Del Potro is now at No. 616 in the ATP rankings.
