Andy Murray is inviting only family and personal friends to his wedding, leaving out his tennis rivals and famous supporters.

Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic were not asked to attend the world No. 3's wedding this week to Kim Sears, his longtime girlfriend. Murray said there would not be many well-known figures.

"There won't be any celebrities as such," Murray was quoted saying by British press. "I don't have any celebrity friends so it wasn't something that was planned."

Though Murray does have some famous followers, including fellow Scots Alex Ferguson and Sean Connery, as well as other Hollywood regulars like Will Ferrell, he has chosen to restrict the attendees. The couple also turned down offers to publish photos of the ceremony.

It will be just "people we've spent a lot of time with in the past, but also people we see ourselves spending time with," the Scot said.

However, there will be a tennis presence, with Tim Henman among those attending. According to The Telegraph, Murray has also invited his previous assistant coach Dani Vallverdu, though relations between the two were strained when Vallverdu left the team to coach Tomas Berdych. Others who have been invited are Dutch doubles player Jean-Julien Rojer, and British teammates such as James Ward and Jamie Delgado.

"Tim will be there, and Jules Rojer—he lives in Miami so I spend quite a lot of time with him. James Ward is coming, and we invited Kyle Edmund but he can't make it because he's playing. Jamie Delgado will be there," Murray said.

The wedding will be in Murray's hometown, with the reception at the luxury hotel he owns in the area. The 27-year-old will then spend a week with his family, having decided not to play Monte Carlo. He is next scheduled to compete in Munich.
