Venus Williams says she would consider playing again at Indian Wells, but has yet to decide her schedule for next season.

The elder Williams sister watched Serena play the tournament for the first time in 14 years this March, noting the warm welcome she was given. The Williams sisters had not played the tournament since being booed during the 2001 final, when Venus withdrew from their semifinal encounter.

"It was wonderful to see," Venus said. "I definitely watched every moment, and it was great to see her and my family there."

However, Venus did not commit to playing. She will determine her schedule based on getting into the Olympics. "Next year will be a big year for us being an Olympic year. I can't exactly say what my schedule will be, but it was wonderful to see her reception," the 34-year-old said.

According to Venus, the sisters have not talked about Serena's experience at Indian Wells. But she did confirm that she is seeing the event in a more positive way. "I have heard so much about how much the tournament has just improved in general in terms of the fans and the players," she said.
