James Blake is looking to get involved in tennis again, possibly at the coaching level. The former Top 10 player retired in 2013 and has a 3-year-old son, Riley, and a 1-year-old daughter, Emma.

But the American has kept up his interest in tennis, putting himself up for USTA Player Development chief and helping coach Jack Sock. Now he wants to do more.

"I’m starting to think and talk about getting back into tennis," he told the *Fairfield Citizen*. "I’m going to start talking to some people about maybe creating a academy, getting back into tennis in some way."

The Harvard graduate considered going into something else, but decided to stick with his professional ties.

"I realized how much tennis has done for me and how much I’d think I’d like to still be a part of it," he said. "I’m thinking that I want to stay in tennis instead of starting at square one in something else."

Blake said he would look at opening an academy in his state of Connecticut, but could choose somewhere warmer. However, he is not currently willing to be a tour coach.

"If that happens it would be way down the road,” Blake said. "I don’t want to travel 30 weeks out of the year, especially now. I’m so lucky to be with my kids, especially at this age."

The 35-year-old is also playing on the seniors circuit. He is scheduled to play in an event during New Haven, as well as at Royal Albert Hall for the Champions Tour.
